X: Changes to my study program

Imagen
Well, hi to whoever is reading this. Before I start writing about the career, I want to make it clear for you that, in fact, I don’t like it (like I said the pasts entries), and my opinion will probably be super… You know. Hater. Dear journalism fellas. I’m talking specifically to the ones who have the new study program. You are very lucky! In fact, you’ve got a whole new and complete program. And I’m going to tell you why. First, you’ve got electives during 3° year –If you take electives during the 4° too, please correct me. We, the ones with the old program, are capable to take electives only during 5° year. If you’re wondering, we don’t have such electives like judicial journalism (I think in your program is called ‘Tribunales’) and data journalism. You guys have economic, historic subjects, which will help you make yourself a more complete journalist. Is true, you’ve got a lot of subjets, even more that we with the old program have. But is way better. I think the le...

IV: Why journalism? No, seriously, WHY????!??!?!

Imagen
WHY????? This is the question I ask myself every day. Why journalism? Why am I even here? Do I deserve to be here or not? If I’m being this open is because I have talked about this a lot. The truth is I had a lot of options. I thought on psychology, but I don’t have patience enough to hear other’s people problems. Also, I liked all biology stuff very much. But I was very bad at it and had such bad grades! So, in high school I was confused because I didn’t know what to do. Since I was a little girl, I liked to write. The breaking point was during eight grade. A Spanish teacher gave us the task to write something about ourselves. I did it. I passed to her. She said, ‘what do you want to study?’ I answered her that I didn’t knew. I was only 13, for God’s sake! Nah, just joking. But then she said, “you should be a writer”. All my romantic interests during my teenage era were like: “I don’t like you, but I like the words you write to me”. And, other teachers reco...

III: Best movie

Imagen
I am not such a fan of cinema. I mean, I like movies, but I’m not very experimented. Maybe that’s why I didn’t study filmmaking in the first place. I’m very average when it comes to movies; I am not such a fan of alternative cinema, but only because I didn’t give it the chance. But there’s one I couldn’t have forgot until today, and that would be Avatar, by James Cameron. The plot consists in Jake Sully, an ex-marine who lost the mobility of his legs during the war. His twin brother was in a mysterious project called “Avatar”. The brother died, and he accepted to took his place. He was entered to this weird place where all the people were big, and blue, and they have something like a tribe system to organize themselves. They were known as the na’vi. I like this movie and it’s my favorite because of several things. One: The animation. Two, the plot, because it gets more complicated during the minutes, and three, the final message that it has left to the spectators, which...

II: The best concert I've ever had

Imagen
This one was a hard choice, because I really love concerts, but I'm gonna go with the Future Hearts Tour (September 9th, 2015), performed by All Time Low,  my favorite band so far . They had their show in Teatro La Cúpula, which is inside the O'Higgins Park. It's like a small version of Movistar Arena. They were formed in Baltimore, MD, started in 2003 making covers of Bowling for Soup, Blink-182 and Green Day. Then, they throw their first EP:  The Three Words to Remember in Dealing with the End.  they are retarded, that's why they were wearing bras It had a really bad quality. Then, they signed for Hopeless Records, a pop-punk/post-hardcore label. Alex Gaskarth (lead vocals/guitar), Jack Barakat (guitar), Rian Dawson (drums) and Zack Merrick (back vocals/bass) came to Chile in 2012, but my mom didn't let me go to their concert because I was too young (I mean... 16? Until today I think that I could take care of myself back to these days). That...

IX: English language challenges

Imagen
look at this. Chile is under the 10%! Hi to everyone! We are getting to the end of blogs. When I entered to this career and found out that we all have to take an English test, I panicked. My past experiences with English during high school were pretty bad, I could never imagine that now I can write down some words and speak too! It all depends of the teaching and how much afford do you put in this. In university I reached to English 3. I think it was fun, even when some of my classmates didn’t like the language, or the manners that the other professor had with us, I learned a lot. Also this year I thought I could ‘get rid’ of English 4, for some reasons I couldn’t take the test, but at the end I think it was the best options. I don’t have many chances to practice my English, and classes are the best option for now. this kinda of pictures are so lame lol sorry i didn't found a better one Blogs are fun too. The only thing I didn’t like that much is to talk abo...

VIII: Summer Holidays

Imagen
Finally! A topic that I enjoy hahah but seriously, who wants some vacations? Because I need one, like now! There’s such a lot of places I would like to go, specifically here in Chile. Most of my father’s family lives in Talca, and I like there a lot, not only because of the nature and the landscapes but for the fact of seeing my grandma’, my aunts and auncles, and of course, my cousins. We’re like 30! And I consider all of them like my brothers and sisters. We like to go to the river and eat mote con huesillo. Also, we always make BBQs in honor to my grandpa’, who passed away in 2010. Sometimes I join my grandma’ to church on Sundays. She don’t know how to read, but I can assure you she’s an expert in live. look at this beautiful, empty beach 😍 Also, with my nuclear family we go to Pellines, a beach that is placed in the south of our country (near to Pelluhue). I like it a lot because there’s not such a thing like lots of people, we can enjoy the view of ...
