IX: English language challenges
look at this. Chile is under the 10%! |
Hi to
everyone! We are getting to the end of blogs. When I entered to this career and
found out that we all have to take an English test, I panicked. My past
experiences with English during high school were pretty bad, I could never
imagine that now I can write down some words and speak too! It all depends of
the teaching and how much afford do you put in this.
In
university I reached to English 3. I think it was fun, even when some of my
classmates didn’t like the language, or the manners that the other professor
had with us, I learned a lot. Also this year I thought I could ‘get rid’ of
English 4, for some reasons I couldn’t take the test, but at the end I think it
was the best options. I don’t have many chances to practice my English, and
classes are the best option for now.
this kinda of pictures are so lame lol sorry i didn't found a better one |
Blogs are
fun too. The only thing I didn’t like that much is to talk about our futures,
because I don’t want to grow up L but is fun. Also you learn more
vocabulary. For example, I didn’t knew that the word “scholar” is something
like “estudioso”. Also, believe it or not, it was interesting to read the
others blogs too. Good job guys and girls!
The
weakness in my English resides in two things:
One, I
still have some –BIG- problems with pronouns in spoken English (sometimes I say
‘her’ instead of ‘him’, or ‘them’ instead of us). I also still have -lack of- confidence when I speak.
And two, I
need to improve my academic language, in spoken and written English. In more
formal situations, I sound like a disrespectful person and that’s not my
intention at all!
My plan is
to keep reading, listening to music, and watching series in English. That
helped me a lot and I hope it will serve me to the future too. I want to go to
an English native tongue, like I said some entries before.
TBH I don’t
use that much English as I would like. But some months ago I knew a girl from
New York and I found out that she understood me better than I thought she
would! Even she understood when with a friends gave her a Felipe Camiroaga towell hahaha
I also help my family with little stuffs like translate some manuals
that are only in English. Oh! And I almost forgot that I help the daughter of
my neighbor to make a video in English. We didn’t have much faith, because she
almost fails her English class, but she got a 6,8 so she passed! I’m so happy
for her.
I think
that’s it. It was a pleasure to read all of you guys J see you around!
When I rad your blogs I can't imagine you being unconfident. You speak and write pretty well, so you most believe more in yourself, adn keep going! Keep practicing as much as you can, you can do it!
